College and university education has become outrageously expensive . The College Board reports that the annual average cost of tuition at a public college is approximately $ 9,650 for in-state residents ($24,930 for out-of-state residents).

The costs don’t stop there…. the average cost of room and board is nearly $10,440 at a public four-year school while private schools charge $11,890. Tuition at San Francisco State University

Founded in 1899, San Francisco State University is a public co-educational institution of higher learning that is a part of the large California State University system. The university charges an undergraduate fee of $7,254 for California state residents and $19,134 for non-California residents. Acceptance rates to the university stands at 68%.

The most popular majors at San Francisco State University include business, communication, social sciences, journalism, marketing, biological sciences, and management. The university offers a wide array of courses through the following departments:

Tuition and fees cost for undergraduate students is $6,697 per academic year.  Acceptance rates into Cal Poly Pomona stand at 40%.  The student population is 23,731 undergraduate students while postgraduate students account for 1,595 of the student body.

Tuition at California State University, Los Angeles

Tuition and fees at California State University Los Angeles costs $6,632 for California residents and $16,136 for non-residents. CSU Los Angeles is set on 175 acres of land with an enrollment of 27,681 students and has a freshman acceptance rate of 68%.  The university’s most popular majors are business, management, psychology, marketing, social sciences, health sciences and journalism.
